Gail Thornton, our Department Manager has an 'ex Sydney' international corporate background. Gail is TAFE Qld qualified in all aspects of real estate (including Property Management). Gail holds current Qld Fair Trading real estate registration. However, Gail is also an university qualified Social Scientist/Sociologist. This means that Gail is also qualified in mediation, conflict resolution, research, pyschology, sociology, social welfare, indigenous cultures, counselling, politics and some aspects of law, including a 'High Distinction' in Qld Tenancy Law. These qualifications mean that Gail is able to understand, communicate with and assist all the different sorts of people we deal with on a 'day to day' basis in our agency, as well as to assist you (our landlords) with any legislation governing your property (whether it is 'local', state or federal government issues). Gail is also able to provide the additional service of preparing 'local area' demographic reports (if this is needed). This greatly assists when considering rental increases for your property, considering the 'local' real estate market and finding out exactly 'who' is looking to rent in your investment property area. Gail also holds Diplomas in Business and Marketing. What all this means for you (landlords and tenants alike). is that Gail can provide 'expert knowledge' in all aspects of Qld property management practices. This includes business, marketing, trust account practices/procedures and the relevant laws/legislation governing all aspects of real estate property management ('rights' and obligations of all parties).
