Real estate has been my 'life' for many years now. In fact, I have been successfully involved in Gold Coast real estate for over two decades. During this time, I have watched the real estate industry ‘evolve’ and ‘change’. I believe that it is even more imperative in today’s ‘tough’ economic national and international ‘climate’  that real estate agencies remain at the forefront of ‘innovation’ and professionalism, while maintaining ethics, a sense of humour and the definite ability to think and perform ‘outside the square’. I believe that my agency has certainly evolved’ and ‘changed’ with the market and other 'external regulatory influences’. I firmly believe that we remain at the forefront of ‘modern day’ real estate. Our clients real estate expectations, 'needs and desires' have always been - and of course remain - our ‘Number 1 Focus and Priority’ . To this end, I ensure that I employ professional people who have 'sound' people skills, a 'solid' business background' and the ability to 'think and perform' at an exceptional level. I am proud of the people I employ. In particular, Gail and Rebecca, who are not just staff members. I am originally from Sydney. Assisting businesses and people to achieve their ‘goals’ has been the 'driving force' during my working life. I have had a varied business background before moving into real estate. My career started in the 'Sydney corporate world'.  However, I have been involved in real estate for many years now. I hold current Qld Fair Trading registration in both property management and sales. I also hold several diplomas in Real Estate, Business, Marketing, Public Speaking, Welfare etc. 

I am not just a staff member, but employed as a 'profit sharing member' of our agency. My goal is to achieve the 'collective' desired ‘growth and other business aspirations’ , as well as personally providing very ‘different’, caring and ‘results driven’ real estate services to each and every valued client.

Because we are a smaller, independent agency (with no 'big franchise restrictions'), I am able to ‘diversify’ and work in both the property management division (that she manages), as well as ‘listing and selling’ property, when the opportunity arises. I also assist Linda Lees, our principal, with the 'day to day' business management of the agency. I really enjoy the ‘flexibility’ of not being ‘pidgeon holed’ into just one area/aspect of the business and the challenge and achievements that each day brings.

As well as my real estate qualifications, I am also an university trained and qualified Social Scientist, with qualifications in psychology, mediation, conflict resolution, sociology, counselling, social welfare, law etc. Her law studies included real estate, with a ‘Speciality’ and ‘High Distinction’ in Qld Tenancy legislation. My sociology qualifications ensure that I keep a ‘finger on the pulse’ in regard to the constantly changing demographics of the Gold Coast. I can advise and assist you on local, state and federal legislations that may affect your property decisions. This can be helpful whether you are selling, buying or investing. My psychology training assists me to understand people from 'all walks of life'. It enables me to REALLY listen to the particular requirements each person has in regard to their ‘day to day’ real estate needs and how to ‘best fit’ our agency services to help bring about a ‘positive’ client outcome and solution.

Rebecca Little

OUR 'MULTI FACETED' ASSISTANT

Rebecca Little

Rebecca is a very ‘valued’ and ‘integral’ team member. Rebecca’s role here in the agency is ‘multi faceted’. She assists Gail Thornton in running the property management division and listing/selling sales properties. She also provides excellent ‘administration’ support to the principal and agency, in general. Rebecca’s background provides our clients with even more reasons to choose ‘Hot Spot’ Sales & Rentals!

Rebecca’s previous career included many years with one of the ‘Big Four’ major Australian banks.  Her experience encompassed many elements within both the banking and finance industries. Rebecca rose through the banking ‘ranks’ from Foreign Currency Teller to that of Branch Manager. She has overseen the general operation of a bank; personal and home lending;  accounts (including savings, credit investment), as well as superannuation, retirement savings and investments, plus insurances (life, income protection, total and permanent disability, trauma, home, car, contents, landlord and health).

As well as all of the above 'hands on' experience, Rebecca holds a degree and diplomas in Financial Planning, Business and Management and current Qld Fair Trading registration in sales and property management. Her other achievements include registration as a Qld Commissioner for Declarations

All of the above, means that  Rebecca is another highly valued staff member at our ‘Hot Spot’ agency!
